MEET THE ARTISTS OF BOLESLAWIEC POLISH POTTERY
People are an inexhaustible source of my inspiration.Watching them, I listen and try to communicate their emotions in my ceramic designs. I am looking for freshness, uniqueness. And that's what I find in hand made ceramics - surprising, unpredictable and rebellious. As the air - my element, you can not grasp the hands, but that gives you the space and allows for distance.
Ceramics is done manually and handed down from generation to generation. I need space and I act on impulse. I am looking for inspiration in the immediate.
Such a small happiness can be a ceramic vessel that carries inside the most beautiful motifs. That's what I'm trying to get, looking at nature for inspiration to create ornaments - flowers and leaves on ceramics will always be fresh, full of energy and joy. When pottery was created by hand, we are dealing with a form of unique, yet practical art.
Although the ceramics produced using the four elements, is definitely my fire, because it allows you to bring out the shapeless mass of the proper form and color decoration. These created by me, the most common are painted blue, because - paradoxically, in the context of fire - it's shades of blue are the most characteristic of the traditional Bolesławiec designs.
The most fascinating in working with clay is in contact with a material that - molded hands of the creator - is the imprint of his emotions, inspiration and passion. The imprint of a particular moment of life. Therefore, starting a job, I never know how I get the effect. Earth at the head - give up their power, the ambiguity of forms, colors and infinite plasticity.

That's why my favorite color in ceramics is green - the most natural color, changing with the intensity of sunlight. Because "The sun does not bypass anyone. Do not miss, and you think you hid in the shadows.
Hand-made pottery is not only functional and aesthetically pleasing, it is also unique, because there are no two identical copies. It's exactly like in nature, where even snowflakes or flowers are unique. That's why nature, floral motifs, are inexhaustible treasure trove of inspiration.
When creating I gain inspiration from the wonders of nature and imagination. She allows me to translate the beauty of the surrounding world on patterns that please the eye and then great stress presented them food. Imagination is rampant element. It's like water - by far the strongest element identify themselves - you can not stop her and always reaches its destination.
Ceramics for me a kind of painting canvas on which I move interesting in terms of color and compositional motifs. Where to find inspiration? Just carefully look around you, see, and not just see. Corporate color, and logical layout of the composition are qualities that are for me the most important in the design. They create unique ceramic products, a product of human hands, but the harmonious effect of interaction between all the elements: earth, water, air and fire.
Ceramics is timeless: simply adds to the contemporary trends and popularizing traditional design. This done by hand is additionally characterized by emotionally. He wears a "signatures" of their creators visible in the formation or the method of painting. I am inspired floral motifs. I create the compositions on impulse, using these stamps that I have at hand.

I love cobalt - the most characteristic ceramic color - ideally it is life.
Heart, Mind and Soul of the Artists...
Today, Polish pottery is created and preserved by skilled artisans who are able to make both traditional and modern patterns. Included in these designs are signature patterns that are created by highly-skilled artisans. These "unikat" or "unique" pieces are more intricate and bear the name of the artist. Additionally, these pieces are rare and highly collectible. Since each piece is handcrafted, slight variations in color and pattern may exist. Some of the most famous of these unique designs were those commissioned by the renowned 18th century King of Prussia, Frederick the Great.
What makes all Polish pottery highly collectable in that each piece is a reflection of the heart, mind and soul of the artists; elusive creators who with great solicitude give the pottery their shape, form and ultimately special look. As in all creative processes, the artists have their secret recipes, techniques and methods. These secrets are guarded and passed on to future generations. That is why we are so pleased to share our artists' thoughts to enhance your enjoyment of their pottery.
